Really nice stay, small room but the view is absolutely amazing. Staff also very friendly and helpful! Common shower and toilets were very clean. Definitely would come back to this place! PS: thanks again for the recommendation of the beach walk

A small B&B based in a Beachside cafe. The staff are really friendly and the food is excellent. The Whitebait and horse Mackerel were great.

my husband and I took a trip to Tokyo and decided to stay one night in Kamakura. we chose this place because of the location and the pictures we saw, and the price was in our budget. the place we were staying in before Good Morning Zaimokuza was disappointing, so this place was a breath of fresh air! the location can't be beat. it's not in the central city, but it's not a long walk to all the shops. there is a great ramen restaurant nearby, and it's right across from the beach. it's also a close walk to Wadazuka station, which was handy for us since we went to Enoshima on our second day. the service was great - all the staff were very friendly and helpful, and allowed us to drop off our bags early, several hours before our check-in time. they even trusted us enough to give us our key at that time, even though the room was not ready yet. perhaps the best part of the facility was the room itself - it's a very clever setup, with a large futon on the top level and a smaller futon underneath, with a TV. the top level has a window with a view of the beach. the bed was comfortable (compared to our capsule hotel we stayed in previously!) and the whole hotel was very clean and well-maintained, including the toilet, shower, and laundry room. oh yes, free laundry is included! we desperately needed to do laundry, so the free laundry facility was a great feature. no need to bring your own laundry detergent either, it's also free to use. there were many different soaps, lotions, and oils to choose from as well in the shower. the free breakfast was also very good. the only downside was that coffee was not provided freely - the cost is 600 yen. I'm sure it's good coffee, but I didn't have any. overall, GOOD MORNING ZAIMOKUZA is a great place to stay for the price that you pay. it's clean, conveniently located, and has great friendly service. I wanted to leave a review because the current rating is 4.0 stars, but I think it deserves a higher rating than that. I think there are only four rooms, so hopefully it doesn't become too popular - we will want to stay here again if we come back to Kamakura!

Location, location, location. Kamakura is beautiful. This was my daughter's favorite stay. We loved waking up with the gorgeous view of the beach. I would definitely stay here again. The staff was awesome. Felt comfortable and right at home.

Excellent location across the road from the beach. Accommodations are inexpensive and clean...but noisy. Almost no sound privacy between rooms. Aimed at backpackers budget conscious free spirit adventurers. The breakfast is really good and a reasonable price. Pets are allowed in the indoor and outdoor eating areas. On a nice sunny day, sit outside and enjoy the sea air. Update: The above review was for the old location, which has since closed down. The new location at Zaimokuza terrace looks more upscale...but I have not stayed there.

My room was a bunk bed with a window to the beach as well as dining patrons which was interesting. Everything was clean and comfortable. I slept well with my own ear plugs but they do provide you with one as the walls are thin. Location was across from the beach and about a 15-20 minute walk to Komachi-dori. Included breakfast was enjoyable outside. However coffee is not included. The shared toilet, shower, and sinks were all clean and well-stocked. Loved the free laundry and dryer with included detergent. Friendly staff. The Japanese girl with the green contact lens spoke good English and was very charming. I’m sad I didn’t get to see or talk to her again. :( Thanks for a good stay Kamakura!

I didn’t stay here (almost!) but we did come to good morning for breakfast. It was phenomenal. Mackerel cooked to perfection, all the tiny sides. Coffee was perfect and not burnt. Perfect morning spent here
